v0.2 - UI Revamp - Painter Tool - and more
With v0.2 we've got 2 major updates:
# UI Revamp
UI got revamped so that menus can be toggled on and off as preferred, and even moved to either side of the window:
This is far from offering a ground breaking level of customization, but it makes it possible to get back some screen space to work in the scene, so in that regard, it does the job. Next work in line on this front is the ability to drag & drop tools around, and more importantly persistence of the layout between app startups.
Another significant addition that can be seen in the screenshot above is the new Painter tool and the bucket fill brush in particular:
The Fill Surface brush paints the surface being clicked. A model is made of 1 or more surfaces. More brushes will appear in future releases.
Finally, a screenshot button has been added, Top Menu > View > Take a Screenshot. An option to hide the grid was added there as well.
The app is still missing a few critical tools to become useful, but these are enough new features to justify a release, so here goes nothing.
